Here's a unique perspective: The first time I took it, sometime in the 80's, I really enjoyed it all, the subject matter and the instructor. Got an A. Liked it so much, in fact, I went on to take a few MORE psych courses (more advanced, of course) just because I liked it!
Found I had to take 101 again in the early part of this century <grin> for the RN because it was too OLD and my later psych credits didn't count because they weren't specific to curriculum (gggr....like Freud's changed his opinion since then???). Also got an A, but no thanks to instruction: it wasn't challenging, it wasn't particularly interesting, and it certainly could have been.
So, whether you will enjoy this or hate it, whether you take lots of thoughts away with you or finally become happy to heck it's over with, has alot of variables.
Hopefully, you'll enjoy it!
