Can a FNP specialize?
- 0Oct 28, '11 by JL10910Would a Family Nurse Practitioner be able to specialize in a specific field of nursing? Specifically, L&D, pediatrics, gerontology, etc. Would a post-master's certificate be enough to specialize, or would more schooling be necessary? I'm looking to apply to a FNP program, and I was just curious what my options would be afterwards. Thank you so much!

She said students did indeed focus on the area they wanted to specialize in. I'm in the same boat. Good luck and keep me posted.
