    Hello all!

    I have a question that I'd like to ask concerning undergraduate research and how to focus it on subject matter that a CRNA school selection committee and/or an ICU HR rep would look on as an asset to my CV.

    Brief backstory: There's a program at my school that allows certain undergrads to work in a research lab alongside professors and researchers to help them in w/e way with their work. The students actually get to choose which area of research most interests them, and the program chairs try their best to pair them up with a lab that's conducting [at least close to] that area of research. So, my exact question is: which area of research would you recommend for someone who is looking to become an ICU nurse and then go on to become a CRNA to go into?

    no research is bad research. you will learn something. you will demonstrate interest and initiative.

    Unless you are going to be co-published along with the main authors I don't think it really matters one way or the other unless you can get in on some ground breaking anesthesia research. CRNA is a clinical degree/training. Research is important, but this isn't like applying to PhD program. My advice is to find the research that interests you the most and do that one.
