I was on the "wait list" at TWU and got a call today! Anybody out there going to California? They start in August right? I still have to take a chemistry class but I believe they offer one that satisfies the requirement. Who else are going to TWU?

Starting school with you in August! Just thought I'd say hi!

Hello

I saw that you were stating at TWU in August. Is that Texas Wesleyan University?

They offer a chemistry class? That is the only thing that I need besides taking the GRE

so you were able to get accepted without taking a chemistry class?

thanks for your time

yes, TX wesleyan. They offer a 100% online chem class to those who are accepted in the program. Yes, they accept students even without chem yet. they will let you take it before school starts. if you have a recent chem that satisfies their pre req, then you won't need to take their chem, although they highly suggest it. how was your ccrn? good luck with GRE, i hated it :)

SO i have decided to apply in November for next August. CCRN was brutal (atleast i thought so) i failed the first time got a 81 and needed an 89. re-took it in March and passes! soooo glad that is over. Have you taken it yet? I can suggest some books for you. I am petrified of the GRE. i have never been good at those type of tests. How long did you study? are one of "those" that got like a 1300? LOL

can i send you my personal e-mail? I have a few questions and i am not on this site very ofter.

Thanks for your quick response :)

Congrats on getting your CCRN. Thanks for the offer but I took the CCRN 2 years ago. I will be starting school in 2 months. If you think CCRN was brutal, wait until you meet GRE ( in my opinion anyway). I thought the GRE was more difficult. Have you actually tried some GRE practice tests? It is ridiculous. I promised myself never to take it again. No, my GRE was just a little under 1000. But TWU also looks at GPA too. Look at their website and you will see that they have some sort of conditions for GRE and GPA. I studied for 3 months maybe, but personally I don't think that was enough. I was running out of time though so I took it anyway. Don't stop reading CCRN stuff because those are the kind of questions that will be asked, and you definitely have no multiple choices. I'm not comfortable posting personal info on here. You can send me a private message and I will try to answer your questions. You should receive a notification from all nurses.com anyway every time someone posts on this thread or sends you a private message, so either way you should still be notified.

Good luck, Brandon!!I'm excited for you! I'm study for my gre and planning to apply in november. How was your interview?ThanksMyra

HeyDid you study from several books for the Gre on just one? What was most helpful! This stuff is ridiculous! I'm already discouraged and I just started studying! grrrrrThanks

Myra,

The interview was intense and covered a wide variety of information clinically down to the cellular level, as long as you are CCRN and or know CCRN information you'll be fine.
