Question about setting up career path..

So I've been searching several of the old/current forums on CRNA and still have some questions so if I ask any of the redundant questions, I apologize in advance.

A little about me, I am a GN that started on an ICU stepdown unit this past September, I get a "good" amount of experience with varying drips and most of the patients are vented/atc. I've been told from management that within a year they will bring me up to the ICU. More than likely upon transfer I will be made to sign another two year contract after receiving the ACC training so I am thinking roughly three years into the future after having a year of stepdown and two of ICU (most likely MICU, although being a level 1 trauma I have considered trying TICU).

I know I want to pursue further education and of all the options CRNA seems to capture my interest the most based off of numerous sites of information about the role. So my questions are...

1) How does one go about being able to shadow a CRNA? (I don't necessarily want it to be common knowledge that I am considering the CRNA route at work because I don't want it to hinder my growth, but I do want to see the role in person to make sure this is the path I want)

2) What can I do now that will enhance my chances/better prepare me for becoming a CRNA? The floor I am on qualifies me to either pursue the PCCN or CCRN and I was considering to take the CCRN once I qualify to sit for the test.

3) Any information you think would be valuable for me to know. I know I am a young nurse and I still have a lot of experience needed that will mold me as an individual and shape my future. I'm just the type of individual who likes to set goals and a direction and if there are things I could be doing now to better myself in the future I want to take them.
