Georgetown interview tips pls!

I applied to Georgetown, expecting an interview possible end of the month or November!

Anyone crossed that bridge or know something that can share.

I will be very appreciative.

Thanks and all the best pursuing your dreams.

I also applied, however, I haven't heard anything back yet, so keep me updated when you find anything out about interviews/dates and when they're sent out.
Thank you!

I just found out today that I also have an interview for fall 2010 so any interview tips would be very helpful! Do they ask clinical questions? Or just personality/dedication questions? Thank you!

Hi! I also have an interview at the end of this month for Georgetown's CRNA program. Congrats on your interviews...exciting huh?! I have a couple of friends in the program now and they have told me the following about the interviews:

1) The interview is individual (no groups) and short! It's you being interviewed by two faculty members and it's only about 15 minutes.

2) Most questions are pretty general/standard. Why do you want to be a CRNA, strengths/weaknesses, talk about your relevant work experience, point out anything unique about your application, etc

3) No clinical/scenario questions!

Good luck to you guys!

I have an interview on Nov. 19th too! A friend of mine did it last year and said that there were no clinical questions, but "get to know you questions."

I just interviewed Nov 12th (last week) and I was asked a clinical question, I think they asked me a clinical question r/t my lack of experience, but luckily I knew the answer to the question they were asking me and knocked it down quickly. I think they only ask a clinical question if they think your experience might not be so great, some other people got the same clinical question I got and it seems like they struggled with it a bit. If you want, I'll post it here, just let me know......
The interview was way chill, you go into a conference-type room, there's breakfast waiting for you, you take a seat and get something light to eat (the food is waiting for you on a table, coffee, tea, water, fruits, muffins, etc). Before you go in they hand you a packet of information about the program. While you're waiting for the faculty to enter, there's also a powerpoint presentation playing on a screen with facts about Georgetown and their CRNA program. This is a good time to be personable and go out of your way to talk with other applicants.
The faculty comes in @ 9:00am and they all introduce themselves and have all the applicants stand up and introduce themselves and say where they went to school, where they work and in what type of unit. they then begin talking about Georgetown's program and try to answer everyone's questions before the interviews begin.
For the interviews, there are 3 or 4 groups of names listed on sheets of paper posted on the wall. The papers tell who will interview you and the order in which you will interview. Only one person interviews at a time with 2 faculty members, they ask pretty general questions, "why do you want to be a CRNA, tell me about a specific patient you took care of this week, etc"
After your interview you're free to go or you can stay and go on a tour of campus and the cadaver lab. They also provide a decent lunch. I went on the tour, the anatomy lab was okay, they had cadavers and x-rays, CT scans, MRI's, etc, which is good. I wasn't completely impressed with it, I figured it would be much better than where I did my undergrad, but I felt it wasn't. At least they have an anatomy lab with cadavers though, so that's good.
They said we'll find out about our application and if we're accepted by mid december, 3 week wait isn't too bad, I just hope it doesn't take too much longer so I can start applying to other programs if necessary. I hope this helps and calms some of your nerves about the interview.
