2.81 cGPA: What are my chances?

Take a couple grad level science course to show them that you can handle grad school. Do great on your GRE. Get certifications like CCRN. Make sure you are working in a fast paced ICU like a level one trauma center. Try calling or emailing the programs that you are interested in and see what they suggest.

Meet with the admissions advisor at all of the schools you plan to apply to. If they are out of state i'm sure they would do this via phone. Ask them what you can do to best prepare yourself to be a wonderful applicant and be successful in the program. Then do what they tell you to do! If you don't you won't likely get an interview. I had a couple of low science grades so I retook classes and got A's and then I applied. I will interview this week. Admissions advisors and directors of programs want to see you really want it and are willing to work for it so take their advice!

I agree with futuresrna, you could even get your MSN in something like nursing education while also taking some of the core sciences and if you do well, you will have an easy time getting into a good CRNA program. Also, if you got an MSN, then you would only have to get a post masters certificate to be a CRNA. That would be a much less demanding course load through CRNA school. The point is that hope is not lost. You can still get into a good program!
