Congrats!!!! Fatcat!! Hope we get good news soon!! :-)

hello everyone

i was accepted off of the alternate list. from what i understand, the school did things differently from last year. they sent out as many acceptances as they had spots and then waited until the response deadline (april 1st) to send out acceptances to people on the alternate list.

they also said they expect to pull a lot more from the alternate list than they have in the past due to their new method so there is definitely hope for everyone on the alternate list!

good luck to everyone! i hope the best for AN nation :)

Fatcat313!

If you don't mind me asking, when did you get your acceptance email? :-)

Thanks fatcat :)

Maybe more people will get lucky after the 12th!! :)

And I was just rejected from one of my "back ups" :( This is getting so discouraging!

What school was that BeesMama?

Western Governor's Prelicensure cohort in Pasadena. I was already rejected from the OC cohort earlier this year. I just can't help but feel "if a BSN program doesn't want me, why would Western". So bummed!

Don't count yourself out BeesMama! You're on an alternate list for Western University for a good reason meaning you have a lot of great qualities that they want! :)

Thanks, k :)

Part of it is my sincere dislike for my job. I was hoping to be able to have something to look forward to (nursing school + leaving this place!) So it just prolongs it. But I suppose I will look into some other programs as well and see what I can try to find! It is all in His timing anyway...just wish I knew what it was. Then I could relax a little.

Sooo I finally, 7 months after applying, got an alternate letter. Luckily in the midst of this wait I was accepted into another program that's starting in June. I wish you all the best of luck in the programs you choose and for those still waiting and applying, do not feel discouraged.

It's not at all unusual to not get into your first choice or to have to apply more than just one year. I know many people who have been rejected several times only to finally be accepted into great programs that worked out wonderfully for them. Just continue to pursue this career and if at all possible, continue to build up your résumé for next years application process. Good luck to you all!
