I didn't see a thread, so I started one.

I am planning on applying this fall for the Direct Entry MSN program. Anyone else?

Hi Everyone!

I also applied to Western for the MSN-E Nursing program but have yet to hear back from them. I am so confused and worried about my application and of the few times I've called, I seem to get very different answers so I am hoping that you guys can help. :)

I submitted my application and received an email the next day saying that my application was received and to check my status online as well as make sure I have all the required paperwork in by the deadline. By mid December, I did not hear anything from them stating that my application was processed or if I needed to turn anything else in so I emailed one of the counselors and she told me all my required documents had been received and that I would receive an email confirmation once my application was processed. Two months later, still no email regaring a processed application. I checked the website where I turned in my application and the application appears under "processed" applications. Also, next to application status it says "application materials received". Where the requirements are listed, it lists the date the documents were received but under the "status" it does not say anything.

How did the application process go for all you that have already received interview dates? What type of emails did you receive? What did it or does it say when you access your application online? I am so worried that they didn't even process my application :(

Hey guys, I haven't heard anything back yet either. I am still waiting and hoping for the best!

@msjules- I actually received one last email from the dept:

Your file is ready for evaluation by the department.

After your file has been evaluated, you will be contacted by phone or receive a letter regarding your status.

Haven't heard anything as of yet.

what did everyone's (who received an interview) stats look like? I know I should keep my head up high but i cant help but be anxious at times :cry:

For everyone that has yet to receive an email, please don't despair. The emails are coming in waves. They had an overwhelming amount of apps this year and is probably taking a bit longer than usual to go through every application. Keep positive and know that your dream will come true!

P.S. I don't know if it helps, but I was in the first wave of email invites. I believe it might be because I submitted my application really early. I submitted it mid-September when the original due date was October 1st. Then they extended the deadline to November 1st.

Thanks for the reassurance, Scooby, really.

I haven't told anyone I am applying to schools right now and I am my only emotional support (and of course, the allnurses family). So thank you all for being an incredible support system.
