Finally, I'll be able to sleep! Unfortunately, I will not be joining the Fresno crowd . I called and left a message with Dr. Russler, he returned my call and left a voicemail letting me know that I was not admitted. Oh well, time to move on.

Yes. Apparently students were still being notified of their acceptance. None of my friends have heard anything yet either. I called and left a message to see if I could find out either yay or nay....haven't head back yet. Lizzy, my heart goes out to you. I know how much we have all invested into this career. Don't get discouraged...I've found that everytime something adverse happens in my schooling, another door opens up. Don't give up, though! Wantin...have you tried calling? Maybe you can get some info like Lizzy did. I'm trying to do the same. Time to decide what direction to go from here.

Scuba: Thanks for your words of encouragement. I am definitely being humbled by this whole experience and will continue to work towards my ultimate goal. I know we all have a lot of heart and will be just fine. I hope you find out something soon. Best of luck to you and the rest still waiting

Scuba: I called last Wednesday, and didn't get much of an answer out of anyone. After still not hearing anything today I decided to go into the nursing department, since I currently attend Fresno State. I asked if there was anyone I could speak to regarding my ELM application. I was told that actually no there wasn’t. Dr.Russler was out of town, and carol was home sick. I asked the secretary if all acceptance letters went out. She told me no. SOME acceptance letters have gone out, and SOME rejection letters have gone out. I'll take that as good news since I haven't received either. She said letters are going out in "Waves".
So this is good news!

Hi,
I have a question for those of you who have been accepted. Have you been informed on the price of tuition, and when its due? Also have you been informed about books and supplies you will need to purchase? I haven't been accepted nor rejected yet, but I'm trying to estimate cost so I can be prepared if I am accepted.
Thanks!

They didn't send really detailed information, but they did give a rough estimate and also had us sign saying that we know there probably isn't financial aid for the summer. Once you respond to offer, then they are supposed to send the registration info. - I haven't gotten the second packet. Since offers still aren't finished I won't hold my breath.

Estimated Expenses

Summer Session
Registration $2300
Books $600
ATI $400
Supplies $325
Total $3625

Fall session
Registration $2200
Books $100
Supplies $75
Fees $40
Total $2415

They also sent the calendar (OUCH!) - Starting May 26 with Brunch at 7am and classes til 2:30. After that Mondays 7am - 2pm, Tuesdays 7am-7pm for the first half then 6am-7pm, Wednesdays 7am-2pm, Thursdays 7am-7pm for the first month then 6am-7pm, Fridays 8am-noon. Finals week and ATI testing is Aug 17-21st then Fall starts the 24th. They say in letter that missing even 1 lab can cause you to fail the program.

That's everything that was in the initial acceptance info.

Good Luck.
