Hello. I know it is early but I thought I would start this thread. Is anyone else getting their information ready and applying yet?

Hi everyone! Are there specific instructions on how to log the 100 hours as a volunteer in a hospital setting observing registered nurses in practice? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

hi 2015applicant,

What I did was an hours audit request and my hospital was able to email it to me and I scanned it and posted it on document uploads. I posted my resume separate from my hours verification

Also depending on the hospital/clinic, they should give you a document verifying that you did volunteer hours

Hi 2015 applicant,

I asked my hospital for a document and they wrote me a letter on hospital letter head. I looked at the USD website and they mentioned adding the document to your resume because there is no room to submit it other ways, however, after applying, I think the way missliliposh did it would actually work and I wish I would have done it that way.

What dedication it shows to re-do your pre-reqs! No, I am not applying to any other programs. I am pitting all my eggs in a very hopeful basket. How about yourself?

The only thing the hospital sent me were my hours I did at each department, and it accumulates to way over 100 hours so I am hoping they will take it.

Wow, thats extremely brave of you lol, I wish I was like that lol but nope I'm applying to APU, CBU, U San Francisco, UCLA, University of Rochester and finally USD :cat: . I had to redo both anatomy and physiology 1&2, nutrition, and I'm currently taking an upper division stats yeah, I want this opportunity every chance I can get.

USD is def my number one choice of all. how many references are you guys using.

CM and AP also mentioned the more info session you've attended, they take that into consideration.

What are your stats 2015applicant and LiveYourDreams?

I bet they will take it. It seemed like they only suggested attaching the hours because there was no other way to attach more documents, but there actually is. Maybe the earlier version of Nursing CAS did not have it.

I did not know they took info. session attendance into consideration. I guess it shows we are dedicated! Did they mention that in a conversation with you? Just curious.

I am not sure of what stats other than GPA you may be referring to, but my Nursing CAS GPA is 3.9. You... ? I gave 3 references.

USD is the school I want to attend and if I do not get in I will just keep trying. That is why I only applied there.

Hi guys! I just applied too. It made me a little worried that the supplemental application only has the "Portal E-forms: form successfully submitted" page as a confirmation, but that's all that we should expect, right? Also, I haven't paid yet; if my check is mailed and stamped before November 1st, do you think it should be okay?

Hey yall,

application is submitted whew. fingers cross that we all get interviews. @ang117. last time I spoke with USD they said you can turn in the sup app fee a little late but not too late , I was planning on mailing mines in by the end of this week. Good Luck everyone :-)

I spoke with AP about my situation and she said as long you have strong references, strong goal statement, good pre-req gpa and grades you will be ok and she said if you've been to an info session they keep a record check and take that into consideration.

I meant like pre-req gpa but 3.9 is really good, I'm jealous lol. mines a little over a 3.0 and I gave four references just to help me out lol.

I think you will fine for the most part, you seem to have strong stats. No worries. Lets hope we all get interviews.

Question for everyone: Is anyone else having an issue looking at the USD graduate admissions website in looking at your whether/when your requirements were met? Almost every time I try and click on the "USD Admission Application Menu" to see the list, I cannot connect. I have tried this on numerous browsers. Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Thanks!

I just got an email from JB, I hope that answers your question. We can know access our mysandiego through their portal and more than likely it can guide us through to make sure we have all the materials. I hope this helps :-)

That portal is what I am speaking of. I have tried on many browsers and it seems that 95% of the time I try my browser cannot connect to their server. I was just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.
