Nursing Students Post Graduate

Hi all, I couldn't find a thread for those applying to UW for fall 2018 so I thought I'd start one. Anyone else applying? What track? I'm doing psych. Anyone know how many people might be applying this year?

Oh and any tips from those who went to the info sessions? I'm not local so I wasn't able to make it out.

Hi! I'm applying for the Nurse Midwifery track. I'm a little more than halfway done with my ABSN. UW is my top choice!

Nice, same here. Did you apply to many schools? I'm only doing Seattle U and UW. And maybe PLU.

I'm also applying to Vanderbilt, Seattle U, UC Denver, and OHSU. I'm dying to go back to the west coast haha

West coast best coast. Best of luck!

I am applying for the acute care track! Did you guys start your application yet?

I did, but it's part way complete on most sections. Need one more reference. Resume's almost done. And need to go through the 3 question prompts. Have you started? Having all of December to do it is a relief, others want it so soon.

Not yet; I applied to Vanderbilt I just finished that and I am gonna start this one soon! My GRE Is not good but Washington doesn't require GRE

It's really helpful, good luck!

I'm applying to the DNP-FNP program. I'm applying to SU, WSU, Idaho State University, University of Utah, Boston College, and Ohio State University. Haha, now that I write them all down it seems a bit excessive. However, I'm just finishing up my BSN and want to ensure I get in a program by next fall! I'm curious on what the are looking for in an application if I will be competitive! I'm from Utah and I haven't attended any info sessions either..

That's fair, being in school is a bit of a disadvantage probably. And I know UW has previously recorded sessions, definitely helpful for the applications to it: Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) | School of Nursing

Hello all! I applied already, because I applied via the ABSN/Early Admission DNP for Midwifery, so I had to get it all in back in Mid-October. I went to an info session specifically for this Early Admission/Midwifery track, so I don't think any of the information I have is helpful... but if you have any specific questions you could ask and maybe I'd know magically. :)

Nice to "meet". you all!
