University of Rochester - ABPNN Fall 2013

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Hi, just thought I'd start a thread for University of Rochester's ABPNN Fall 2013 applicants...

Hello everyone!

I was just called for a phone interview. I live in NC but my fiance's mom is moving back to Rochester so I'm excited about the prospect of living with her, if I get in. A part of me is freaking out though, is a phone interview bad? Or are they doing it as a courtesy so I won't have to travel? Most other schools I've heard invite students to interview AT the school. Has everyone else at interviews in Roc or by phone? I'm panicking inside. Help!?!

It's bad when you don't get a phone call to schedule an interview :p So don't fret, and good luck!

I know they definately dont interview eveyone. I asked and its on their website. Not everyone gets an interview.

My Interview went very well I thought. Not hard at all. I had good vibes when I got off the phone. nermface, I am from Ontario Canada. I obtained my Bachelors in PE and Health Ed in Michigan and I am currently taking prereqs down in Florida.

DNeal - I asked if it would benefit be to have an interview in person and she said it makes no difference in person or over the phone. No advantage either way.

Ahhhh, just a little over a month to go until we begin to find out! I can't stop thinking about it!

I just applied for the Jan 2014 ABSN class at University of Rochester. Anyone else also going through the application process?

Does anyone know when we will hear back about admissions decisions for the fall?

My interviewer told me that we wouldn't hear back until mid-May at the absolute earliest.

Hey have you submitted everything? I applied for the fall, but I can tell you a little bit from my experience... shortly after they close the applications, you will get notified via phone to schedule an interview. If you are local, then you could go inter person...but it seems like most opted for a phone interview for convenience sake.

Your file and interview notes will be reviewed three timea and ranked. By the time that's all over, you will receive a phone call should you be admitted.

@nermface: thank you! i hope i hear back in may and don't have to wait until June :)

No worries. I hope we hear back asap as well! It's been consuming my mind for so long it seems.

Where else did you apply?

Yes me too! I also applied to University of San Francisco and Union University (Tennessee).
