University of Hawaii Manoa 2013 MEPN Program

Just started the app for this school's program. Anyone else thinking of applying here? I'm pretty annoyed at how expensive the application is: $100 for the grad school and $65 for the NursingCAS application system! This will be one of my fallback schools in case I don't get into my favorites...but the surf life and the tropical breeze does sound very very appealing! Also, anyone know anything about this school's reputation?

@mrobinson69600 I remember Sandman received an email informing him that he was accepted. He posted it and it read that an official letter would follow. Now Im not sure if a letter in the mail is a good or bad thing:( No news for me today. Good luck my friends!

I almost had a heart attack. I called to make sure that all my documents had been received since I have not heard anything. He verified that they had received everything and my application was under review. Then I received an email from UH....I thought OMG this is it......turns out it was an email verifying that UH has had all my documents since November. I can not take this stress...lol

Hello everyone! I just received an email update:

"Dear MEPN Applicant:

Thank you again for your interest in our Master's Entry Program in Nursing (MEPN) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. We have received your application and are being reviewed by the admissions committee.

Many of you have inquired as to when you may hear from us regarding admission. In that decisions are made rolling, applications are reviewed as they are received and processed.

With over 200 applications for the fall 2013 cohort, it may take some time to process the applications. Nonetheless, we anticipate selections will be determined and notifications will be made within the coming weeks.

In previous years, notifications were made as late as March. With the new admissions process, we anticipate notification much earlier this year.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work through this.

I'm pleased it wasn't a rejection email but I really hope we don't have to wait 'til March!

Yeah I freaked out when I saw that lol! False alarm. Did anyone hear that the program would be changing in 2014 to some kind of accelerated DNP?

This is all soooo exciting and exciting producing!!!! Congrats to who recieved emails!!! I hope to get one too... We will see. I am hoping they still have more emails to send and spots to fill. Does anyone know how many students they accept? :)
