Just started the app for this school's program. Anyone else thinking of applying here? I'm pretty annoyed at how expensive the application is: $100 for the grad school and $65 for the NursingCAS application system! This will be one of my fallback schools in case I don't get into my favorites...but the surf life and the tropical breeze does sound very very appealing! Also, anyone know anything about this school's reputation?

well, still no word. on monday "s" said i will know within 1-2 weeks, but of course that was the 3rd time I heard that so we'll see..... crossing my fingers for the both of us!

Hey guys, I've been following this thread for a while and just finally decided to make an account. Anyway, I haven't heard anything yet either, I applied for the fnp so just wanted to say good luck to all of you who haven't heard!!

Also, I have seen a lot of people who are worried about accumulating so much debt from student loans...I'm not an expert on the topic but I do know there are state and federal programs that help you pay them back...such as the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

When I submitted my FASFA I choose Graduate Student has my "grade level".

Hello All,

Has anyone heard anything from UH since the acceptance emails/letters? I sent in all my paperwork and I received an email thanking me for choosing UH, but haven't heard anything since. I know that classes do not begin until late August but when do we find out about of schedules? I haven't heard a "peep" from admissions about payments or anything........

I was wondering the same thing. Form A and my SIR were both submitted weeks ago.

Hello, So a few weeks ago I emailed Shannon because I had a few questions since they don't really seem to be communicating very well with us... the only thing that I do know is that we have a mandatory orientation aug. 12-15.

Ceci- are you living on campus in the grad housing, or did you find a roommate and living off campus? im just curious. I'm living in the grad apts for the first year. However, once I meet our class I really want to find a roommate in the program to live with because it is cheaper to live off campus, ive already been looking, but I didn't want to live alone,lol

I live here on Oahu but I was looking for apts. closer to campus and I have found some very affordable ones. I found some in the Manoa and Waikiki area for 700.00 everything included. I found them using craigslist. They are efficiencies but we wont be home much...we are going to make the library our home with all the studying we are going to be doing. Cant wait to meet everyone!!!!!!

I'm not entirely sure what I am doing yet (still waiting to hear from a couple more programs here on the mainland). But, if I do end up in Hawaii, I will most likely be living off-campus with a friend. Fortunately my bestie is willing to move out there with me--my boyfriend might come too but we aren't sure yet. Really, the only thing keeping me from choosing UH for sure is the cost--but if I'm not accepted anywhere else, then I guess the choice is made for me!
