Got my acceptance email yesterday... Their notification process sure is on Hawaiian time! Haha. I'm deciding between UH and 2 other schools so I'm not sure yet if I will attend UH, but moving back home to Hawaii from the mainland is sounding more and more appealing. Has anyone submitted the FAFSA to UH yet? I wasn't sure what to put for what our "grade level" will be when we enter- the other schools I sent the FAFSA to award a BSN after the first year so we were told to select "5th year/other undergraduate", but since a BSN is not awarded at UH I am not sure what to put. Congrats to everyone who got accepted! :)

Also, is there a Facebook group out there for accepted students in our cohort? If not I will work on making one!

Aloha Kakahiaka Kakou! Everyone hold your breathe! This is the week that we find out our results. Kind of feels good to know that there is an end sight to all of the anticipation and waiting, but definitely scary at the same time. Good luck everybody, it seems like there are so many wonderful, gifted candidates on this board- UH Manoa would be lucky to have you as their students. :) Hopefully there is space for all of us, we'll see!

Has anyone else from out-of-state been accepeted? How do you plan on paying for this program? I've been stressing about how I am going to pay for this.

Hello everyone!

Congrats to those who have already gotten accepted! So jealous! Seems like everyone who got accepted are in the FNP program. Did anyone apply to the PNP program and if so, did you get any letter or email? I applied to the PNP program and still no word yet! Does this mean rejection? Hope not! Shannon said my app is "still under review" Good luck to chose who still haven't heard! Maybe we're the ones on the waiting list..... hmmmm

@: Ceci- I know that bill is scary right?! If accepted, I'm stuck taking out loans from fafsa, as well as some private loans too. Out of state tuition has no mercy! I'm planning to hole up with my family that lives there so that will cut costs somewhat. Ceci, check out HRSA's website- there might be a possibility of loans or scholarship opportunities from them. I have a ton of co-workers that are working off their P.A. or FNP school loan through that program by working in an underserved area.

Hey nicm- I applied to FNP. No word for me yet as of today. Have you spoken to "S" recently? I recently communicated w/ him & he said that I'll know UH's decision by this week. Hopefully we receive emails and not rejection letters :)! I'll even take a waiting list number at this point, LOL!

@ceci81, I am from Cali and i got accepted, and I am very happy, but I am also freaked out about the cost! I have soo much anxiety because its soo much money :( I got my fafsa back and I basically took the loan, I wish I knew someone who lived out there because that would cut the cost a lot, I applied for on campus grad housing, but I'm starting to think I should probably live off campus with a roomy because it is cheaper, but I don't know anybody in the program yet
