UIC Graduate Entry Program

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi folks,

Thinking about applying to UIC's GEP program. Anybody here applied and was accepted? What were your stats?

My stats: 3.2 Overall GPA/3.5 Sci BA in Sociology. Office Manager in home health care, tech in a medical equipment co, medical assistant (no cert) in dr's office and later office manager there. Volunteering in Nursing Home around 120 hours...

From what I can tell on their website, after completing the NCLEX, you immediately start the master portion of the program. Is this correct?

Should we expect an email or phone notification?

Specializes in Telemetry, ICU, HIV.

Email, followed by a formal letter in the mail. Good luck everyone.

Nothing yet...

I'm going to be that anxious person checking their email all day

Don't worry I'm doing the same thing.

Hah I think we are all doing that! Good Luck everyone!!

I think it's safe to say we won't be finding out today. Bummer.

I think it is pretty safe to say we won't be finding out today. Bummer.

Same. I'm hoping for Monday.

I agree. Dang, not surprised though. guess it will be nice to have the weekend to prepare a little more. Hopefully we will find out soon!

My thought with these interviews is that we've all spent months, if not years at this point, deciding that nursing is what we want to do. After several applications and personal statements written, we all know what we want to do and why we want to do it. Yeah it might be helpful to look at a few questions to get a few thoughts in your head, but I think if all of us just speak from the heart and treat the interview like a conversation with a future fellow colleague we'll all be okay. Just my two cents, we'll see if my strategy works when acceptances come out haha.

Just got an interview invite!

Edit: FYI I think they are being sent out by specialty, not all at once.

PNP? I just got mine! It's a bit confusing though, did I sign up for an interview time or an overview time on the doodle poll?
