- Mar 30, '12 by nursebestfriendsWith all else being equal, go to the school with the bigger name. I'm sure CSUN is a great school, but when you venture outside of Southern Cali the UCLA name will take you farther. And if you go outside of the US, the name recognition for CSUN is nonexistent.
I graduated from UCLA with my BA and from Duke University with my BSN. I have a friend that went to UCLA's MECN program, and she loved it. Personally, I preferred the speed of the ABSN and I thought the MSN out of UCLA was more of a novelty since the benefits of the program were questionable.
