Anyone have any experience with them? I'm looking at the MSN online. Or if you have any experience with any other distance or online programs I'd love to hear from you:)

I am finishing up my BSN through UOP. I cannot say enough positive things about this school and program. Altough I find it expensive, this program has been very flexible and I have learned a ton. There is a poster on here I think her screen name is TraumaRUs, she has done the BSN and now is doing her Masters, she may be able ot tell you specifics about the Masters program. I love UOP!

I got my MBA form them, pre-computer time and just loved it.
Have been seriously thinking of going there for my PhD................if I do it anywhere , it will thru them.

In my school catalog, it lists the staff and faculty and their credentials. No less than FOUR of these instructors received their MSN through UOP.

I am currently taking the MSN course with them. Though I am doing the campus classes. The couselors I spoke with stated the online only program was much harder. My manager at work teaches for them and agreed with this. So far I am happy with the program.

I am 2 classes from completing my MSN through the University of Phoenix--I am VERY happy with them. They work with you, adjust your schedule if needed, and the academic counselors are great contacting you for updates and to see how things are going. I am very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone who is thinking of starting an online MSN program.

I finished my MSN with UofP in June 05 and though it was difficult, I had never done masters level work and it was certainly doable. (I also did my BSN with them). I am currently doing a post-MSN clinical nurse specialist and feel that this is a piece of cake compared to UofP. Good luck.

I may be throwing a clinker into the posts but I recently read a report that this university has been in trouble with admitting students who were not qualified and never should have been admitted. Myt advice, given the widespread use of the internet, by your local colleges, I would advise looking into their prorams first.

I've seen those too.
Hmm..am unsure which program this refers to. Is there a citation for this report? I did the BSN program and had to prove my RN license, my years of experience as well as have malpractice insurance. For my MSN - the same was true. It is fully accredited (at least those two programs are). I have had no problem getting accepted for a post-MSN clinical nurse specialist. Would be interested in this report.
I have seen these reports, but lets not forget that this happens in any college. There aremany fake degrees floating around, the head of FEMA just got canned for this exact thing. My credentials were really scrutinized. I am currently in the MSN program, and after getting my BSN at a private catholic school, I see the work load as almost the same, only at UOP the instructors are willing to work with the class a little.
