Transfer of MSN coursework

I regularly get requests to transfer credit from elsewhere (I am the Assistant Dean for Graduate Student Services at a university).

In your case, I would send the full syllabus of your patho course to the professor who teaches our patho course after you enroll as a student. She would indicate whether your class is a replica of her course or not. This 'replica' factor is very important in whether we would transfer credit or not. In our case, our Patho professor also authored the Mosby text "Clinical Applications of Pathophysiology: An Evidence Based Approach"; not many patho classes are as thorough as hers.

About 1/2 of the requests that come across my desk are approved.

UVA grad is correct - as a military wife, I have become the expert at transferring credits - lol. It is always a good idea to save the syllabus from any grad courses you take - once you apply for certification, you can be audited by the certifying agency and having the syllabus helps tremendously.
