A thread for those awaiting decisions...

I just thought i'd make a thread for those that are eagerly awaiting to hear decisions from the applications they have made for 2009!

I applied to 7 schools for mostly direct entry MSN programs, i got rejected by one so far i hope it's not a trend that'll continue :/

Lets hear about which schools you all applied to!

Did they tell you why you were rejected?

I've applied to the rodp program (FNP) that is just about to start here in Tennessee (www.rodp.org) and I'm getting ready to send in an application to the University of South Alabama (for the geriatric NP program) and Frontier School of Nursing and Midwifery (FNP.)

USA is telling me to hurry, hurry, because slots are filling up fast. I wonder if that is a sales tactic?

No they didn't, but i'm guessing it's cause the course is so popular and i guess i wasn't as competitive as other applicants :/

i'm still waiting to hear from the other places i applied to.

I've applied to Vanderbilt, Johns Hopkins, Penn, and Marquette, all for the direct entry programs, pediatric NP speciality. I haven't heard back from any of them yet but have completed interviews at Vanderbilt, Hopkins & Penn. I'm getting nervous because I know I will start hearing back soon. The more and more I read on these threads, the more concerned I become and start to doubt if I am a competitive applicant or not. Hopefully we'll all start hearing back soon and be accepted somewhere : )

I only applied to one school. Vanderbilt for the Fall 2009 1 yr ACNP. I have a high GPA, OK/Low (1050) GRE, but max amount (5) LORs. If I get accepted, I am going. I want to work for either a Cardiothoracic or Trauma Surgeon, perhaps even first assist a little (after getting my RNFA of course). That is my dream job, a critical or trauma pt, assist in surgery, follow pt to ICU, the floor, then post-op in the office. Not sure how realistic this job description is, but I am willing to work hard for it.

PS
I have gotten a lot of stuff about vandy and scholarships, but they all seem to pertain to undergrad.
Anyone else excited/nervous ect. or recieved anything in the mail?

Good luck all!

I applied to U. Penn, Columbia, and Emory. I've already been accepted to the University of Sydney in Australia. Had interviews for Penn too. I did pretty decent on GRE's (1320), but my GPA is somewhat on the low side (3.1). I also failed micro last semester and am taking it over this spring. I'm afraid that fail in micro will translate into rejections I just want to get at least one acceptance stateside haha. I don't know how much longer I can wait!

I have applied mostly to programs in Boston, Northeastern, Simmons, BC, Regis, and I also applied to Yale. I was accepted to Regis, and have an interview with Yale next week, but havent heard back from the others. This waiting game is so tough. I realy hope I hear soon because I have to let Regis know by the end of the month...
