Hi Everyone, I haven't seen this thread yet and as the application date (July 1) looms closer I thought I would start one. I am interested to know who is applying, what your undergraduate degree of study was and why you are now going into nursing? I'm taking the TEAS tomorrow!!!

So I will answer my own questions; My name is Darcy, my Bachelor's degree is in gerontology. My plan is to work with the elderly, hopefully in hospice. FNP is the next logical step for me.

I didn't see a group yet so I created a FB group called Samuel Merritt ELMSN Sacramento 2016 (It's all about the end goal, right?). I did not specify FNP, though this thread is mostly FNP-- ALXiong made a very valid point! I'm not sure if CM has their own thread/FB already though. JeninCA Please don't give up hope yet! I read other threads and it seems that SMU makes acceptances in waves, I am sure they're still trying to figure it all out. If it helps you can call Liza she so very nice and welcoming! There is always the wait-list, I have heard stories abut people getting in by wait-list all the time. That's another option too! Things will work out, and it's so hard to see the big picture, trust me I have been an emotional roller coaster, but there is one. Decisions will be made by the end of the week, so there is still time and hope! Hang in there :)

Hmm, maybe cut and paste the title and search under groups? I changed the settings so the group privacy setting is Open for now.

To JeninCA and all the other hopeful applicants that haven't received a call or email yet: please don't give up! Stay positive. I absolutely believe that things happen for a reason. Keep persevering! :up:

I'm going to assume that you're Jennifer and you were in my re-applicant group. I think you did a great job during the interview! Stay positive and it'll happen! I'm rooting for you! I have a friend who was waitlisted at #14 at the Oakland Campus for the ELMSN-FNP program, and she got in, so there's always hope!
