Hello all...I've searched through and found that some of you have or are currently in the RODP program for FNP through Tennessee...can anyone update me on this? Do you like it? Would you recommend it/do it again? Im hoping to get my home school of MTSU...also for those of you that know..do you have to have some classes such as adv pharm and assessment done first? I can't get definitive answers through the website..Thanks so much!

Hello! I know this is an older thread but I just finished my first semester in the RODP FNP program thru Austin Peay. I took Research & Theory and had a bit of a hard time between school, work, kids, and everything else life throws at ya. Just wondering if anyone has taken Patho, Pharm, & Adult assessment in the same semester? I'm trying to figure out if I can handle it during the fall. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone currently attending rodp have access to the preceptor list? I am in PA but I am looking to get licensed in another state because of not being able to locate an OBGYN preceptor. Please let me know! Thanks for your help!

Question? I am taking Role and Policy this semester and I am wondering if I can get away with not buying the books or buying the older editions of the books?

Were you ever able to find an OBGYN preceptor? My wife is in the RODP FNP program and is in desperate need of a preceptor.

I have secured a tentative preceptor. I am just waiting on the paperwork to be processed. I had to drop my Women's Health class for this semester and take it next semester (Spring 2015) which means that my graduation is delayed. Total bummer.

I am still working on my BSN, but looking ahead and thinking about this program later. Are you able to go straight from BSN to this? Also, those of you in the program, do you like it? Are you able to work full time and do a couple of classes a semester without it totally killing you? :) Thanks!

How was your semester? Did you end up getting books? I start next week. Any advice?

Patho is very time consuming for me. There are case studies, discussion questions and more.

If I had known it would be like this, I would've taken it alone.

Can anyone tell me if this is a hard program to get into? I am considering applying in the future

I have been accepted to RODPs FNP program with home campus assigned at TSU. I would prefer MTSU since its only 20 minutes from home rather than an hour to Nashville. Anyone currently enrolled get assigned to MTSU as home campus? Just curious as to how they decide home school assignments. My MIL works at MTSU, my hubby went there, my SIL went there, my mother went there, and so on and so forth. I would just like to have my actual diploma say MTSU for legacy purposes. Don't get me wrong, I'm SUPER stoked that I was accepted to TSU and will be able to share experiences with 2 of my nursing buddies, I just don't understand the process for school assignment.

With what organization is Ms. Battles affiliated? MTSU, RODP, TSU? Thanks for the heads up!!
