question about UCSF MEPN specialities

Hey all! I'm gonna apply for the MEPN program at UCSF for next summer. I heard that they'll only accept you if your ECs and volunteer experiences are not only health related but related to the specialty that you're applying to. Is this true? If I want to apply for the acute nurse practitioner specialty, what could I do to strengthen my app?

Thanks!!

I am also applying to this program. I would recommend ER or ICU experience if possible. I work as an EMT in an emergency department. Anything where youre dealing with really sick/unstable patients would be best. This is just an educated guess.
