NP program and weekend shift

I currently work weekends and go to school full time. It all really depends on your clinicals, when you get to them. Will you be able to get enough hours in only going two days a week?

Most offices are open 9 - 5, which means a max of 7 - 8 hours a day. If you're doing ACNP, you should be able to have longer hours due to the fact that most physicians who round / do office work 12 or so hours a day. And you might be able to do clinicals on the weekend, since acute care center's don't really close!

In short, it depends on you clinicals, how many hours you need a week, and if you can find a preceptor that can accommodate working around your work schedule.

Also, I'm currently working 7P shift on weekends, and am really struggling. I have never worked nights in my career, and have had trouble flipping back and forth every. single. week. From working 7p shift Sat, Sun, and Mon, to clinicals / class Wed, Thurs, Fri. I'm actually in the process of changing jobs to get back to a day shift position so I don't have to flip so much!
