M.S. in Nursing Education @ Walden Univ.

I was just wondering if anyone out there is currently enrolled at Walden University for either the Nursing Education or Nursing Administration program. I am looking to get started September of this year. I got all the info I need to get in, just wanted to know what the classes are like from a student's point of view. Thanks in advance!!

Toni

P.S. You can PM if you'd like. Thanks.

Hello
I've been doing alot of research lately re: distance/on-line
MSN programs. I'm now torn re: Administration vs Education.
In any case, I've discovered that both Univ of New Mexico &
University of Wyoming offer fully on-line MSN programs
with an Education focus. Good Luck!

I'd shy away from Walden as although it is accredited, it's kind of like University of Phoenix - touted as a "degree factory" of sorts (or so I've heard)....there are MSN programs in Nursing Education online all over the place. Email me if you'd like the list that I complied before I narrowed it down geographically.

Aren't all schools "degree factories" in a way?

I will be starting at Walden University this fall.

I agree with the earlier comment "aren't all universities degree factories??" The University of Minnesota would be considered a degree factory as well since it has degrees that are completely online.

I am certain that this poster has not done their homework about Walden. While I recognize this post is pretty old - the reality here is that Walden is a very reputable university. Their research focus is well documeted and respected by the academic community.

I attend Walden and think the university has a great program (from my own personal experience). I feel very confident that when I graduate with my MSN in Education that I will have earned a very valuable degree.

I just started Tuesday. I am only taking the NURS 6000 class since I will be driving/moving almost 2000 miles to a new state during week 3. The concurrent situation( 2 classes) wouldn't have worked even though my laptop will never leave my side. Move whole household, life, new job, kids, dog,etc,etc........

If the program is accreditted and working for you , your degree with enhance your resume, the people who critize online programs have not attended a program. Good luck. Alex
