Is CPR a professional certification?

I am filling out an application and it is asking me for any professional licenses and certifications. There is a slot for "profession". I do not know what to put. I am applying for a new grad residency program because I take my test next month. I don't know what I would put and I cannot enter cerification without completing that field!

Your profession is nursing. "Professional certification" usually refers to specialty certifications, the kind that you list on your badge with your credentials (e.g., I am a PMHCNS-BC). CPR would usually not be considered a professional certification.

However, if you're having difficulty with the application, your best bet is to contact the organization to which you're applying and ask for advice and guidance.
