DNP students & graduates: what do you love about your DNP education?

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Specializes in ACNP-BC.

I am currently enrolled part time in a DNP program while I work full time as an NP. I really love my program and am in my 3rd class now and feel I am already learning so much. I am curious to hear from other DNP students and graduates about what they got out of their program and how it helped shape their future. Thanks!!!!

What school are you going to? I am looking at DNP schools. Any suggestions on how to succeed? Where are you going?

christvs, I am a FNP and looking for a good DNP program. Which school are you going to? Is it online?

I am looking into Chamberlain University. It's five semesters. One class every 8 weeks. So far all of my calls and questions have been answered. Its all online. No residency.

Kaplan University is also 18 months, but it two classes for 10 weeks then its one class for 10 weeks x4.

I am unable to find out what the retention or attrition is at either school.

It would be so nice to hear from a DNP student that could say she highly recommends a school and that the professors are very helpful.

Let me know what you find out. Thanks!!!

It sure would be nice to get some idea of what the retention or attrition is at Chamberlain University. I hear so many good things about the undergrad nursing programs, but so far nothing about the DNP program.

What school are you attending for the DNP. I think I will be starting Chamberlain University. What is the DNP online course like. Its it mostly online lecture, reading and paper presentations. Any words of advise before I start the DNP school. How many have dropped from your cohort?

Thank you!
