    Hello everyone!

I'm planning to enter Northeastern Direct Entry nursing program 2013. So excited! I'm working now over my personal statement. Northeastern is my only choice and I truly believe I'll make it! It'll be great to create a Facebook page for everyone who is applying to the same program so that we can share our ideas and concerns.

    Thanks,
    Evgeniya

Looking for apply to University of Maryland's CNL program for fall 2013. I'll finish up my last pre-req (Chem 101) during spring of 2013. Working on my personal statement in my head at this point.

Hi guys! Just some information I have to share - Northeastern does not require the GRE, but only takes 24 people total out of over 300 applicants. Just wanted to let you guys know, it's going to be competitive! Consider broadening your list of schools you are applying to!

Have you looked at the new programs? Many people do not know that South U, Herzing, and Walden U all added online programs this year. South is only available in some states though. Keep looking. Walden still accepting applicants for September. I did not apply to any except online schools because it works with my work schedule. They all have the same accreditation, and Walden is 1/3 the cost of Vandy.

I spoke to several MDs who told me it is not the school that matters, it is passing the board. Highly recognized school NPs take the same board as the others, and are in no higher demand than any other.

What I'm looking for is schools that offer my specialty - pediatric critical care/acute care. That's why I am being so picky with which schools I apply to =]

Hey everyone, I just came across this thread. I have been looking for current 2013 threads for the schools i'm applying to. Yale, Columbia, Vanderbilt, Duke, UNC, and NYU. But there seems to be none happening yet. I am finishing up my personal statement and all I will have to do is take the GRE. I'm graduating this summer ( B.S. Health Science), My cum grades are okay, not the best but my prereq's stand out, no C's all A's and B's. A B- in micro though...hey it happens and we aren't all perfect. I volunteer in the ER MAIN and get to assist in Triage and watch traumas throughout the day. I am in a really cool internship/volunteer program that places you on floors throughout the hospital. I've been on L+D, Medsurge Oncology,ICU, ER.
I am going for ACNP and want to be a part of a trauma team. Anyone else applying to the same schools? I would be happy to have someone in the same boat and struggling too!

    Hi Morganw1,

I am also applying to many of the schools you've listed. My cummulative GPA is not so great, barely makes the cut off and my prereqs are A's and B's too. I am planning to apply to Yale, Columbia, OHSU, UIC, Vanderbilt, Emory, Johns Hopkins, Boston College, Duke, NYU, and UPenn but for the nurse-midwifery specialty. I volunteer as a labor coach/doula so I've seen a few awesome births. And currently I'm working as a medical scribe in an emergency department. I already took my GRE's and am working on my personal statements for UPenn, Johns Hopkins and Columbia. I'm crossing my fingers because my academics aren't stellar but I'm giving my all to those statements. Are you a recent graduate?
