Chamberlain MSN program

  1. 0
I'm about to enroll in the MSN Nurse executive track at Chamberlain. I finish my BSN in June, and would like to know if anyone currently attends this program. I've enjoyed myself so much in the BSN program, that I'm almost certain I'd enjoy their MSN curriculum as well. Specifically I'm looking for time frames for completion. Is it possible to take 2 graduate classes at the same time without being overwhelmed or having my grad education compromised. I know it's a 2 year program, but my advisor did state that some grad students double up. If anyone could give me some feedback on Chamberlain's MSN program and curriculum, I'd appreciate it!!!

I am currently attending Chamberlain and I've just began the MSN Program-Executive Track. I would have loved to double up and complete the program earlier than a 2 year period. But, at the moment I find this will be impossible for me to do. I have searched this site to read anything possible info I could find of students currently involved but foudn nothing. I'll stay posted to this thread, in case we get any luck. How are your classes going so far? Are you enjoying it? Is it similar to your BSN?

I graduated with my MSN -Educator from Chamberlain. I loved it and thought the classes were awesome except the statistics which they removed from the program. I took two classes at a time and finished in 1 year and 1 month. I didn't find it hard at all in regards to work load. At the time I was pregnant with my third child and worked part time. Actually I had my baby during my practicum and it was no problem. Just so you know up front, they do not allow you to take the practicum and the capstone together. If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer. Good luck!

Thank you! I graduated from the RN-BSN program in June 2010 and have been attending another MSN program. It was not what I was looking for so I'm going back to Chamberlain for the MSN-executive track. I'll be taking classes two at a time as well and I transferred in 2 classes from my other MSN so I'm planning to be done in a year. I'm so glad to be going back. I loved the RN-BSN program. Everyone who works for Chamberlain has been so helpful(even after I graduated) and so supportive.

    Hi
I just spoke with admission advisor today- I am interested in the Educator track, They said after the first class that I could take two classes at a time, is that how you did the program? Can you take anything with the practicum? Is it just the Capstone that you must take alone? Also- I am used to a blackboard format for discussion is it similar to that?
    Thanks!!

Yes, I took two classes at a time and found it very manageable. The class format is not blackboard, but very easy to navigate and 100% user friendly. I haven't used blackboard recently, so I can't attest to it's similarities. I know for a fact the practicum and the capstone must be taken separately. All of your core and specialty track courses must be taken prior to these, so you end up taking them separately. However, you might just want to double check that. I wish you luck, I really love Chamberlain, so if you have any other questions please let me know! Good luck!

Hi all, I am beginning my MSN (executive track) with Chamberlain in less than 2 weeks. Just wondering how everyone has liked the program so far? I've had only positive experiences so far with admissions and financials and I thought it was a nice touch sending out an acceptance letter.

I had applied to two other online schools last year both of whom left a bad taste in my mouth after being enrolled. =P

    Thanks and happy new year!
