Hi,

I'm in my last year of the Masters Entry program at BC. I personally feel that the essay is very important, as it really shows who you are as a person. My advice is to be honest, speak from the heart, and talk about what inspired you to go into nursing. It seems obvious, but that's what they want to hear. Make it personal-not just the generic "I want to help people" theme. I would also advise getting some professional help, or at least a professional review of your final essay. There are services available on line that will do anything from practically writing the essay, to a review of your essay with suggested changes. Of course, the more you want, the more you pay. I went for the review, and it was well worth the $60 I spent.

Good luck to you!
