Anyone applying to Nursing PhD programs for Fall 2010?

I was interested to see if anyone else is applying to nursing PhD programs for fall 2010? If anyone else is applying, what programs are you applying to, and what is your background?

I'm a WHNP and CNM applying to three or four nursing PhD programs, and one PhD in public health.

I am still looking for a program that I feel is a good match for me. I have been looking at Capella, but I also would like something that is ground based and somewhat local to me in North Carolina. Best of luck in your application.

A good fit is an important thing. I'm applying now to a few programs, and they are also VERY interested in why I chose to apply to them and how I interpret a match between my research interests and the university. Thanks for your kind wishes, and I also hope that you fine the best program for you!

I plan to enroll in a Nursing PHD program hopefully Spring 2011. I am going active duty Army in March 2010. I received my MSN in December 2004 and am practicing as an Adult NP. I am looking into Capella as well. I will keep up with this thread to hopefully learn from you all that are ahead of me. Best wishes everyone!

I hope that everything goes well for you on active duty!

I just finished my first application and sent it in to the university. I'm pretty nervous, but I made contact with faculty and researched the fit, so I'm hopeful!

I'm now working on my next application. This application requires a writing sample instead of a personal or goal statement. They also do not want GRE scores. Since so much seems to be riding on this writing sample, I'm spending the majority of my off-work time on it.

I wish everyone luck!
