Yes, I found out in late December that they were intereste in interviewing me. Then you interview, and get to wait some more.

The good news is - if you haven't heard already - UCSF will be accepting 90 MEPNs this year instead of 75. So there will be 180 people to interview...

90 MEPNs?? Any idea why they made this decision? Whatever, that's great news. I'm really pinning my hopes on this * there is no Plan B for me which I know is silly, but that's the way it is. God, it seems a long time until mid*December.

UCSF is accepting more MEPNs because the MEPN program received more funding. Simple as that.

I got the same letter a few days ago...it's gonna be a loooooong wait! That's great that they are accepting a few more students this time around. Are any of you applying elsewhere?

All eggs in one basket here too. Plan B is to reapply to UCSF next year. At least the odds of getting in went up with the additional openings.

OMG that is AWESOME about the 15 more slots...Just what I needed to hear after sitting here doing my internet stats class (uuuuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh) for three hours.

I applied to the Nurse Practitioner (generalist) track. What are you guys applying to?

Good luck to all! Nice to get the letter saying they got all our stuff, huh? At least we know they HAVE them...

Not a peep. According to the confirmation letter local folks should start receiving their notifications via snail mail sometime next week. I'm assuming small letter envelope means rejection. So here's hoping for a big fat envelope for everyone.

Hi everybody,
I live in Marin county just across the bay from UCSF, so when they mail out our FAT ENVELOPES (must...think...positive...thoughts) it'll probably take a day to get to my house. I promise to post here when I get the news to let those of you farther away know that they've gone out.

Hang in there, we'll know something soon!
