Hi,
Does anyone know how many applicants are there for UCLA MECN 2008?

I heard they got about 368 applications and they are taking 50. I could be about 5 off on the # they are accepting, but I know it's around 360 for applicants.

A few questions for current MECN students:

What does a typical week as a MECN student look like? How often do you go to clinicals, class, etc.

How has you lifestyle changed...what have you done to adapt?

What's the toughest part about this program?

What's the most rewarding part about the program?

Any input would be much appreciated!!!

Hello. i am going to attend UCLA for the MECN program this fall of 2009.

What is the Nursing Fundamentals class that you are all talking about? Is it a pre-requisite that you are referring to? Possibly the Nursing 50 class offered this summer at UCLA? Is it the Fundamentals of Epidemiology?

As a follow-up, I hope you applied and got in. I am in similar situation with a GPA that is almost at 3.0 for undergrad, but 3.5 for pre-requisites. I am wondering whether I should turn-in my application or whether it would just be a waste of money and resources.

Love Re: Any UCLA MECN students out there?
I think you should definitely apply unless you seriously do not have any money for app fees (in which you may get them waived if the school participates in that). And about being rejected, I have my fair of rejection letters.... But don't let that discourage you because eventually, you WILL get in! Perseverance!

Good luck!
