Hey Guys! Good luck in getting in to the program! I am in my third semester at the Athens Campus and will graduate in December! If you have any questions about the program please let me know!

Thank you so much for making yourself available to us!! I'm sure we have a ton of questions!!! My first is what does your schedule look like now and what was it like first semester? Are the online classes at your leisure or are they at scheduled live times?

First semester you have class three days a week. The first half of the semester you will be in lab 1-2 days a week in athens this was tuesday and wednesday and class on thursday. In lab you will be learning how to move patients, start IV's, catheters. You will have to pass check offs on each skill to progress in the program. The second half of the first semester you will have one lab day, one full clinical day and class. It depends on which campus you are at, in Athens we had mondays and fridays off which was really nice, but enjoy it while you can because second semester is really crazy.

Second semester we had Sim lab one day a week (monday or friday), clinical (tuesday and wednesday), class on Thursday (8am-4:30 pm), and you had either monday or friday off (depending on your lab). Every other week you have one day of psych clinical..one week you would have 2 days of med surg clinical and the next week you would have one day of psych clinical and one day of medsurg. You also have a test just about every week so you have to be really good about managing your time. Don't be scared you can do it!

This summer we have basically the same schedule as the spring but our clinical rotations are med surge, LD, peds, NICU, Family care. You still get either a friday or monday off and have class on thursday.

I can only really speak for Athens because I know that Augusta has a slightly different lab schedule. But we all had class on Thursdays together and I'm pretty sure our clinical days were the same.

I know I'm late y'all....but I got in! I got in! For the Augusta campus! Do anyone need a roommate because I need to be looking for some where to stay asap! I don't have official papers or anything so could you all help me out on what I need to do. Thanks so much! I'm so excited!

Congrats Leslie!!! We don't know anything yet. Did you just get in via email or did you get a packet? There is just an orientation video and how to sign on to pulse and email, but they are Changing pulse to pounce. Should be an open house in June. mid to late June.

I wouldn't worry about what kind of computer you need. I have the same one I have had since I graduated HS in 2008. The tech guys are really helpful and can update anything on your computer if for some reason it doesn't work. You really just need to make sure you can stream videos and audio.
