There's a Yahoo Group for PICU nurses: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...International/ that might be a good start. I'm not sure about any actual get-together-in-a-room-and-chat groups though.

Thanks! I'll check that out. Do you know of any nursing associations for pediatric critical care nurses? Where you are a member and they have conferences etc?

There really aren't any pediatric critical care NURSING associations that I know of. The National Association of Neonatal Nurses is the nearest I can think of, and believe me, I've looked. Most peds critical care groups are medicine related, and not nursing. Several hospitals have annual PCC conferences or symposia, such at the one linked below.

It might be interesting to pose the question to the PICU International group on Yahoo; many of the "names" in PCC nursing subscribe, people like Pat Moloney Harmon, Martha Curley, Dirk Danschutter, Franco Carnevale, Kathryn Roberts and Margot Thomas. If anybody would be able to point us in the right direction, they'd be in that bunch.

The American association of Critical care nurses has a pediatric componant. It is not exclusively pediatric though. Check them out at www.aacn.org It is the best thing that I have found
