Hydrocephalus

by Slowone

Anyone know of alternate treatments for hydrocephalus? Pt is an 11 mo male, shunting is not an option r/t mult scar adhesions and sup.venacava clot. Pt has not responded well to Diamox. Any one have experience with anything similar?
Thanks

We have had mixed results with Diamox...can they externalize the shunt? We do that sometimes in the PICU if they area really scarred up. But it doesn't sound really good.
