Hey gals and guys and to those who are confused. Good day! I just want to ask any of you if you know any hospitals that I can go to for the completion of my iv training cases? Ive called ANSAP but they too seem to be confused also? If hospitals want IV therapist how can I become one if I cant seem to find a hospital that will let me!? aaargghhh..

try nkti,they offer iv completion.you can also have your completion where you're working/volunteering.you can have your completion at any hospital provided there is an iv licensed who will sign your cases.

Here are some of the details necessary for the IVT Completion at the NKTI:

1. Submit a letter of intent to the NKTI office for the IVT completion.
2. A photocopy of your PRC License.
3. A photocopy of your Certificate of Attendance for an IVT Training. Do call the ANSAP office for the accredited hospitals offering IVT Training (7131063).
4. Pay Php. 700 to the cashier.

Submit all the aforementioned articles to the Institute of Advanced Nursing and Allied Health Professionals Office located at the ground floor of the annex building. After that, you will be scheduled for a 5-day IVT completion at the NKTI from 8am to 5pm. You will then be assigned to different areas around the institution, such as 2B, 2E, 2D, or the ER. Also, you may need to bring the following articles on your first day:

• Be in an all white uniform(for obvious reasons)
• Torniquet
• Bandage Scissor
• ANSAP Handbook
• PRC License
• Official Receipt
• 1×1 ID picture
• ID Case and ID lace

Just a few questions for you:

If you are not already working as an RN, how are you going to keep your skills up that you learn in one of these few day programs? And without any current experience working as an IV therapist with good skills, how are you expecting to get hired in that job?

Sorry, but just is not going to happen. You would be much further ahead to go to another country and actually get experience as an RN and you would get experience in starting IVs, etc.

Just my two cents or pesos on this idea.
