You are definitely not going to hear it from me to go that route. If you want to do it, you are doing so on your own.

I know of some excellent children's charities that could use the money that you would be throwing away. It is really a shame to just rip it up like that.
Makes no sense at all to me.

What are you actually going to save by doing it your way? Not one thing.
Well, I know I will spending a lot of money doing it but hey, I am seeing myself having two licenses (three including the Philippines) in the future. Having licenses in both NY and Ca. will open a lot of options for me to choose where to work.

I don't want to argue with you as you've been there already while I am still far off.....but isn't this a good idea?

What I know is that I will have a hard time with my school. Contrary to CGFNS' statement that they will do the gathering of the documents, I am sure Ill have to do some leg work just to have my papers moving.

I want to look deeper into this bec going the NY route might not be the best for some of us. Bec if we apply at CA, we will have some sort of control on the sending of the documents. We will be the ones to request the BON/PRC and school to send what CGFNS wants (instead of them waiting for CGFNS to contact them).
If they don't live up to what they said, then maybe we can question this, right? After all, we are paying...I'm not sure, let us ask the legal experts here.

Default Fingerprint card
Sorry if I posted my question on the wrong thread, just hoping you could also answer.

Is it okay to use fingerprint card from another state, say CALI, for New Mexico application? I have been requesting fingerprint card for a month now and still got none. If it's okay to use it, do i have to provide a letter as to why I used it and have it notarized? Thanks.

I have compared fingerprint cards from CA and IL and they are different. I think you have to request to the particular state where you want to get license.

It must be for that state.

You are not saving yourself any time at all, and will have issues trying to endorse a license that you do not have. You still will need to go thru the CVS procedure if you with to work in NY, even to endorse there.

CA takes four to six months before you will be given permission to even sit for the exam, add it another two months to get it a schedule date in SE Asia, and then one month for results, and you are talking about next year.

That is why what you are saying a complete disregard for anything. NY will more than likely be done before CA.
