what should I do if I want to work in Canada?

I'm just wondering... Honestly speaking, I really don't know what to do to be able to work in Canada. What exam to take, the processing, etc etc... And is it true that if you want to work in Canada, you have to study there for 2 years? I dont know if my source is correct.... I hope someone can help me.... A friend of mine said that exam in Canada is harder than US thats why some Canadians transfer to US to take the NCLEX....

Thank you!!!!

you need to apply to the board of nursing in the area you want to live and meet their requirements, have you checked out the Canada forum and tried a search there, sure I have seen a few threads reworking over there. I don't think their exam is any different than NCLEX and even if the Canadians take NCLEX if they want to work in Canada as RN they would still have to take the Canadian exam, they take NCLEX cos they want to work in the US

Canada has provinces and each has their own requirements. The Canadian exam is quite different from the NCLEX exam, it is not computerized and only given several times per year.

Please go to the Canadian forum for links to the different provinces. And you will find much there about the requirements for Canada.
