wait for eligibility before reviewing for NCLEX??

does the eligibility has expiration?? i just completed my application form
& waiting for my eligibility. im planning to have my nclex review on aug3 & im confused if i should wait for an eligibility 1st before reviewing in kaplan or proceed w/ nclex review at kaplan w/o the eligibility?? im afraid if i wait for the eligibility i might not have enough time to review when the exam date arrived, but, if i will review this august, do u think its too early & i might forget wat i studied?? thanks..

Depending on which state you applied for licensure, each board of nsg. has it's own lenght of validity. California ATT is good for one year. I suggest start reviewing now, even if it's self review. get a good review book that you can understand. NCLEXRN is not easy, you need to prepare for it. it is not like your NLE exam. You will never forget, if you try not to memorize what you study, familiarization works well.goodluck to you.

RNHawaii is correct. You must not wait for your eligibility before you start reviewing. By the time you applied, you can start studying so that when the approval of your eligibility arrives, you are more or less halfway with your review and this will make you less anxious as you have prepared ahead. Preparation is a key in passing the NCLEX exam other than the most important factor which is PRAYER. These two must be present to succeed in the exam. Good luck and God bless.

Thanks nursemavi :-) another thing I can point out? the longer you wait to review? and as soon as your ATT in the mail, you will be so excited, and won't be able to study and focus on the review, then you will get excited some more, and get tempted to schedule the exam, the next thing you know, you will start to panic, loose sleep, and worried about the exam. not a good idea, eh? so start reviewing now, or when you have spare time.
