(VMMC)Veterans Memorial Medical Center

by mazeRN

Hello!
Anyone nurse from this hospital? Can you please share to me how to get employment in this institution? Is it the usual process, or does anyone need to have a "padrino"? My sister is very interested, first of all it's a government hosp. and we heard pay is somehow above the others. Secondly, its very near her place.
Thank you!

you could go the usual process but of course here in our country, the more common process and the practical ones are with a backer of course... and if its a government hospital better to have a backer who is a politician so the job will be yours...

You need a backer there. That's what I know. but I heard during early November they were open for hiring and the training will be on February.

Requirements:
Photocopy of the following:

Diploma
TOR
Board of rating
Board certificate
PRC Card
Cedula
1 2x2 pic

Thanks. Is it possible that I will directly be hired and won't undergo their training program.

I don't think so, robocop. I think all hospitals have a pre-employment training program.

Thanks for the info. So they would be hiring nurses who underwent their own training program? Or will they also accept other applicants who did not go to that institutional training?

I went to VMMC last Monday, April 13 to submit my resume and other requirements. Unfortunately, they are not accepting applications for the Staff Nurse position. Posted in their bulletin board and in the HRD door that Staff Nurse applications are temporarily closed and to wait until further notice.

As for trainings, according to the Nurse stationed in their Nursing Service Office, their Chief Nurse was away on vacation for the Holy Week and training schedules are on hold dependent on the "go signal" of the CN upon her return to work.
