Hi gabrield!

same goes with me... I also graduated year 2007 and still no luck being employed. What I am doing right now is getting ready to take NCLEX. Have you taken NCLEX? To what particular country do you want to work? Are you already done with their requirements?

I took the nurses licensure exam last june 2008 and until now I still don't have work. I already had several examinations and interviews attended in various hospitals but it seems that they're just for manpower pooling. I'll be taking up my NCLEX exam on March. After that, if I still don't have work, I'll resort to do volunteer or training things.

Im done with my Intravenous Therapy training and had my License, Basic Life Support at PNRC-QC, and some seminars.

i also tried to apply at California,.Im done with the requirements and had my ELIGIBILITY which had only 2 years validity, so i should have register at pearsonvue before it expires,.unfortunately I have no money for the registration so i need to work first for that. and still with the retrogression in place,. according to all forums here, and from SUZANNE,there is only a CHANCE of getting an Immigrant visa when applying to U.S.

But it is a good points if you had taken the NCLEX and passed it,.but you should consider to apply to the states that did not destroyed your application after 3 years or more.,California is one of them. If they destroyed your application,.you should apply to them again if you want to,.or before that happens, other option is to apply in other states that didnt do that and call them to forward your documents and the result of your NCLEX.

I also graduated 2007 and currently unemployed. I am done with my NCLEX and IELTS. My VSC was issued last August. I trained in one hospital for 8 months but left there last December. Hopefully by late February or early March I will be starting in a new hospital.

I applied in California for my NCLEX. I have until 2011 before my files would be destroyed but I have done some reading and what I can do is email them so they would give me another year of extension. CA BON has given others 2 years extension because of retrogression. That's from what I have read.

I also passed an interview by an employer. Although it's immigrant visa and I know retrogression is in place but I want to start the process because I know it would be a long one. Im staying positive.

It isn't a guarantee that Ca will extend your file, be prepared to look at another state and don't leave it too late to apply. Once the file has been destroyed then so has your NCLEX results and would mean retaking the exam again

CA is only granting a one year extension at a time, have not seen one person get extended for a two year period.

Next, if you do not have an employer and already in the processing for immigration, you are looking at more than a seven year wait for a chance at a green card. Suggest that you take the initiative and do something with the NCLEX results; there is no reason at all that CA is going to keep a file open for that long. It just makes no sense even in terms of manpower hours. If anything, expect them to cut the time down from the three years. That would actually make more sense if you are looking at it from the other side.

Hello everyone.. Also an unemployed nurse here. Passed the NLE last June 2007. I'm supposed to get employed in one of the hospitals in New Zealand (before they refuse accepting SPN graduates) but PRC can't find my board certificate until now, so I lost that chance. Anyway, I'm done with my IELTS and now preparing for my NCLEX exam. I also applied at POEA for possible employment in KSA but still haven't got a call from them since September 2008. Well, although it's hard to find work here, I'm staying positive. I just have to do things one at a time. Goodluck and God bless to all and I hope the year 2009 will be a fruitful year for all of us...
