What we are trying to explain over and over again: Why would someone want to attend school for a licensed program that is not even accepted for licensure in the country where you would be attending? How many of the instructors truly know the differences between the RN and the LPN/LVN role?

Next issue is that you do not see these programs marketed in the US, but almost entirely in the Philippines and to students that when they complete the one year program cannot do a thing with it. It is not acceptable for a visa to work in the US, but the schools fail to pass that little bit of information on to the prospective students. The only way to the US is with an illegal visa as unskilled laborer and then the nurse is subject to deportation for immigration fraud. Not a good thing.

From your previous posts, your goal is to go on for the BSN, suggest that you thoroughly check things out with schools that you are interested in to see if they will give you credit for the LPN program in Pi, suspect that many will not, and you will be repeating some needed classes.

And as I keep stating over and over again, when you try to take shortcuts, it turns to bite you on the backside. The number of Americans that you will find at these programs is very small, and so it is going to be hard to see how many have gone on with what you wish to do. You may find it harder than you expected.

There are schools for LPN in the Philippines, but you have to be really careful which one you choose. I would advise going to every school you would consider and screening them personally.

I got my LVN license here in the U.S. I will need to go back to the U.S.. I would like to go to school for RN. Will my credits be transferrable? Are there any careers at all in the Philippines I could get into with my LVN license?

LPN isn't recognised in the Philippines therefore I doubt that you will be able to find a job there in the Philippines. Think about it there are already many many Philippine RN's struggling to find work

Regarding whether your training is acceptable that will depend on the course, BON/BRN and requirements

Bit confused on what you are saying but are you looking at doing your RN in the Philippines and then going back to the US?

If Kennedy Global is still doing distance/online theory courses and sending you to the Philippines for clinicals, it will not be accepted in California. They use to advertise that they were approved by the US Board of Nursing. There is NO US Board of Nursing for LPN/LVNs. They were advertising big in San Francisco and Houston.

I don't understand why the LPN schools in the Philippines are still allowed to operate. Their graduates are not recognized by the Philippine government. Their graduates are not quallified to immigrate based on their "education." And there are hundreds of thousands of more qualified, better educated, jobless registered nurses in the Philippines.

If you want to waste money and time, why not just burn your money, and watch the clouds go by instead of attending an LPN school in the Philippines?
