For RN to be eligible for visasceen you only need IELTS over all band 6.5 and speaking of 7.0 even you get 6.0 on other parts its doesnt matter.

What is your speaking section, you left that off, and that is the most important.

I took the IELTS twice, depsite a 7.0 in speaking, and over all band of 7.0.. the probleim is, I'm applying for New Zealand and I got 6.0 in writing twice.

The council is requiring 7.0 in each band and an over all band score of not less than 7. Is there anyone here applied for NZ too? Maybe some of you could give me advice? I was so devastated... but I couldn't stop in the middle of the process...

www.scottsenglish.com
go to that website, it is the best one out there and is based in Australia and is extremely reasonable in price.

MAYBE THIS INFO WOULD HELP:

English Language Proficiency Examinations
Registered nurses must submit a passing score on one of the following:
a. TOEFL, 540 on written or 207 on the computer based TOEFL, 4.0 on the TWE, and 50 on the TSE. These examinations are offered by the Educational Testing Services.
b. TOEIC 725, 4.0 on the TWE, and 50 on the TSE
c. IELTS (Academic module only) 6.5, IELTS Spoken Band 7.0

If you have a review center you can ask for their intensive review and practice for writing alone. Or you can find a review center who offers that kind of review. They'll teach you what a good essay should look like and the flow of the paragraphs. They'll let you practice everyday. What aspects you need to focus on. A month of intensive review, I think is sufficient enough in order for you to pass. I was just so happy when i got my results. All my scores are 7 and above and I was just so thankful for the lessons i got from that review. Hope you can also have 7 the next time you take. Goodluck...

All of Australia has the same requirements when it comes to English, just like the other countries do. It is for immigration purposes and that is done by the federal government and is not state or province specific.

Just take the time to check out their website, it contains all of their requirements.

Since this thread is 18 months old and much of the information is now outdated, am going to close this thread.
