They will credit it provided you pass their qualifying exam. Let’s say you want Health Care 1 to be credited, then you have to pass the Health Care 1 qualifying exam.

patchieqt is right.. if you just wanted to have a degree in short time go... but if you wanted to have a quality nursing lectures and experiences, think and think...
hi hope_nurse,

did you also come from PWU- Edsa or Taft? can you share which schools you beleive offer better lectures and experiences?

i am debating between Lanting, PWU-Edsa, but PWU is much closer to home and finishes in 2years plus summers. Lanting takes 2.5-3 years with summers...I just felt so claustrophic in Lantings hallways and classrooms..

thanks

What's nice with this school were those affiliations in hospitals when you are about to take your RLE...so i'm just here..talking..not bragging for all of this but to enlighten everyone that..a school is just there for guidance and support..we are still the one who makes an impact! Rookieq..goodluck.. =)
Thanks Chel,

did you take the Second courser program as well?

so study time at home would be the same whether you go to the Top school or a mediocre one?

or is the issue more of, you need to study more on your own at PWU since the professors are just too inadequate? or the school just has a terrible filing system? hence, loses important stuff

is there anyone here who can suggest a school where they felt that the professors were 100% competent?

thanks

I am sitll in communication with some of the professors and they are all frantically urging students to enroll, i wonder why! i am continuing my nursing education after a long vacation (heheh!!) but i opted to enroll in another university. i have experienced several problems and discrepancies when i was getting my documents and just to site a scary example, they nearly lost my TOR.. that is very disturbing right.. and the system of teaching hasn't changed. I can say that i've had a good education/background which i am able to use now but the feedbacks i've heard from one of the professors there who also graduated there isn't really impressive. he opted to transfer to another school to teach for reasons which i decided not to discuss here. please take time to check all the schools you're considering like what i did and do visit them personally and try to talk to the dean or anybody from the college of nursing so you may get more info on how things are done. i suggest pamantasan ng lungsod ng makati.. one of the best schools i was considering and they also offer ladderized courses for 2nd coursers and working students.
thanks choco,

i will be sending you a PM if you dont mind...
i was also thinking of the UMAK but i didnt like the evening and weekend classes for second coursers....

thanks caringnurse,

did you also take the 2 year second courser program or the regular student 3-4 year trimester course?

I also considered the school in the Fort but unfortunately, they only started the second course program last year so there is no way of knowing if any of their graduates would be able to pass the NCLEX etc.
