Hi Nurses!

Please help me, Im a Reg Nurse in Manila
I want to catch up with the upcoming exams
for CGFNS this NOV 2006, I plan to practice
in New Jersey where my Aunt lives + they
require CGFNS.. What do you think is the
BEST Review Center in the Philippines for
CGFNS? How long would it take for my registration?

Im quite confused what to choose
either KAPLAN, PENTAGON, LABAGNOY
GAPUZ or R.U.N. pls HELP ME! I need
you answers, opinions, to those who have
passed the CGFNS and other good refence
book for CGFNS or CD please i need your
opinion ASAP thanks!

I think the better ones for CGFNS are Gapuz or if you have the money: Kaplan.
and of course the review book that comes w/ your CGFNS application.

BTW, where did you review for your local boards?

hi there Lana! pleasure to have you here.

are you in manila or in baguio? 'coz labagnoy holds classes in baguio usually for 4 months starting july. fee is around P25K.

in kaplan, i heard, some lectures are in video. to know more about it, you can attend their monthly free orientation seminar for cgfns/nclex classes. branches are in morayta, makati, quezon avenue, baguio. fee is more than P20k.

in gapuz, fee is also around P20k. branches are in manila and baguio. class usually starts a month before the exam.

r.u.n., i think, has the lowest fee. venue is near nagtahan bridge in sta. mesa. not sure if room is airconditioned.

pentagon is relatively new but reportedly has the biggest number of students enrolled for this june local board exam (more than six thousand). venue is in manila or baguio. i heard that big classes in manila are sometimes held in universities such as adamson or UE recto. no idea about the fee. i heard that lecturers can be very funny and innovative in their teaching style and most students don't feel bored.

some centers are offering weekend class schedule starting july/august/september. others are about to start daily classes for the july cgfns exam. when do you think can you start joining a review class?

HI!
I infact went to GAPUZ for local boards, I think theyre better for local
boards.. In Kaplan i learned from few people theyre actually good in
NCLEX not sure with CGFNS. With LABAGNOY i just hearned theyre good
in CGFNS, I already saw the fees of LABAGNOY and GAPUZ, but with
KAPLAN i have no idea. I just want to choose what is the BEST review
foe CGFNS thanks

Thank you! Yeah no problem with the fees i saw them on internet
I'm from Bacoor Cavite, Baguio would be my choice to attend the review
but which Review Center? Im quite confused cos some would say KAPLAN
is really good with NCLEX, but not so sure with CGFNS,
Gapuz is for local boards (i actually went there and yeah
theyre good in local boards, not sure w/CGFNS) With LABAGNOY i just
learned from my college friend theyre good in CGFNS compare to other
review centers, so its mind buggling to me... With Pentagon im not sure
also, The weight is between KAPLAN + LABAGNOY for CGFNS..

I prefer Kaplan if you ask me. Many are saying that the CGFNS exam is harder than the NCLEX so you need to study more extensively compared to studying for NCLEX.
