Philippines License Card Application

Hi,
I'm planning on applying to get my license card on PRC Baguio (where I took & passed the exams last DEC '07) but the thing is I wasn't able to attend the Oath taking ceremony because I was out of the country.

Is there anyone who had or has the same problem as mine? I just wanted to know beforehand what to do so that when I travel all the way to PRC Baguio to apply for the license card I would have whatever they require. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

you can ask the PRC office and the RTC can preside if they need the oath

you can still apply for your license even if you did not attend the oath taking.

Hi, I have the same problem. I passed the Philippine Local Board Exam for Nurses last November 2008. I am currently out of the country and I would not be able to attend the oath taking this April. Would I still be able to get my Philippine license here in California? Kindly help me with the procedure. Thank you so much!

Instructions are available at:
http://pinoybsn.blogspot.com

Some things you'll need:
Special Power of Attorney from the Consul/Notary Public abroad
Oath form duly filled up by applicant and notarized by the Consul/Notary Public abroad.
Acknowledgment from the Consul
Photocopy of the passport indicating the port of entry

Option 1: You can have your oath in any law office. You inform first PRC about this. Then you can have your oath taking in the law office. They'll certify that you had taken your oath with their presence.

Option 2: Some of my batchmates before did not take their oath but they were able to apply for the license. That means oath taking is just for formality. PRC or the Nursing Regulatory Board won't be able to monitor those who didnt have their oath taking.

Option 3: Wait for another oath taking. That means you'll wait for the june 2009 passers. That would mean long time for waiting.

I hope this helps.

I was in a similar situation with this guy. where i have to live the Country for a holiday for 3 months (before the Oath could be scheduled). Before I left I make it sure to ask PNA about living the country without an oath ceremony taken. How shall I deal with my RN license when i come back? or will they allow me to process my license? (without an oath) well, PNA told me, as long as I have payed the membership (for PNA card) and the processing fee in PRC, there will be no problem. ( besides I agree with my GF, R.N. too, she said Oath taking is for formality purpose) but then again we should not miss it,unfortunately i did.
I hope this helps...
