There are no programs being offered in your country, and if they would start up, there is no way that I would recommend them.

The programs that are in the US are quite expensive on average, and can cost you about $500 US per month, and yes, that is per month. And you will have issues with doing those when you are not in the US, as you must be able to travel freely to the US for the residency requirements for the program.

Suggest that you wait until you are in the US to start any program like this at all.

ahh. thanks suzanne. i was planning to avail such while having my work here in our country but then i think it is not possible. but i'll make a research on schools that may provide me with the program i am eyeing.

by the way, would the foreign countries be honoring the title MAN or having a post grad degree MAN if it was gained here in the Philippines? or are we still to undergo something related to such?

Please take the time to do some reading here, this has already been well discussed. The MAN is not the same as the MSN, and will not get you anything additional.

It will be difficult for you to make up the required hours to get the MSN without having to repeat the entire work here in the US. You are also out of the US, so how are you going to do your clinicals that are required?

If you are fortunate to get hired by a US facility, you will be placed as a bedside nurse, there is no advantage to the MAN from there, it will not get you anything. And with the number of nurses that now wish to work in the US, it is going to get very difficult for many of you to be able to work in the US anytime in the near future.

If and when you get to the US, many employers will pay part of your tuition and expenses for school once you have worked for them for a year. Makes no sense to start something that is not going to benefit you in any way in the US.

ahh so having a MAN here woud have no bearing in the US since it is far different from MSN? is that the point mam? i plan to have a part-time job as a nursing instructor in US. i do hope its possible.

mam would you have any idea on how to facilitate my application during the screening process? would the credentials (TOR etc.) be of any bearing to the said process?

i do hope the retrogression would be lifted by the time i completed all the requirements and after giving the just service to my countrymen. kudos to all of us! be it working here or in abroad. God Bless!
