Oct-12/3pm Nclex Takers In Manila Peeps!

by 2b_usrn

helluuurrrrrr nclex universe!!!!!!!!! i am not gonna make this long anymore. for those nclex takers scheduled for the exam on OCT 12, 2007 - 3PM / MANILA PHILIPPINES, isnt it great to have a group of nurses with you whom you can get along with your reviewings, burnt-out feelings about your coming exam, someone who can encourage one another for the actual exam, a prayer partner/group and most especially since all of us are in a group that has the same exact set of nclex schedule,it can lessen the tension of having thoughts that we are going to face the nclex by ourselves alone, more over we can also meet there personally at the testing site!

i thought of this idea cus i feel that every test taker wants people whom they can share their knowledge with, review styles, updating one another, getting ideas/opinion about a certain content area from one another and even sharing anxieties about the nclex to each other.

i remember when i took the NLE, it has a set date and i have "classmates" from my review center that i can talk to, review with, pray with, someone i can encourage and be able to get encouragements from them as well. all these had help me passed the NLE with confidence and for sure a better thing for the nclex as well.

for all of the 10-3-3pm nclex Manila test takers. just reply to this thread and lets start a team.

are you gonna take the nclex for california? thats what i applied for...if il give an advice to you, id say review for the nclex rn 1st.dont pressure yourself from when are u gona take it or you have to take it as soon as possible, rushing really doesnt work in nclex. i myself prepared for the nclex for 8mos. it depends really..based on my experience, big preparation is a must for foreign trained nurses to take the nclex rn. its totally way to different compare to our local exams here in PI. this is my 2nd time preparing myself for the nclex.

Questions specific to taking the exam, or how to should go to the International Forum, they do not belong here.

Please keep to the original topic as it was posted. And we ask that you use proper English, not text messaging format so that you get used to how things will need to be done in the US.

Thank you.......................

Good eve to all posters here. I just would like to ask especially those who applied for Cali BRN. I recently passed the June 2007 NLE and I'm preparing my credentials and stuff to be submitted to CALI BRN. One of the requirements is photocopy of local license or diploma that allows one to practice nursing on his country, which includes, of course the date of expiration, etc. Our license is yet to be given 3 months after filing to the PRC. Will the Certificate of Board Rating and Certificate of Passing which PRC temporarily provides passers, coupled with a letter explaining why one don't have the license yet suffice the CALI BRN? I'm done with everything but I'm having second thoughts of submitting it yet because of my license problem. Anyone?

Verification of passing should be sent by the PRC, that is the same requirement that we have in the US for us to get licensed. Proof must always come from the licensing board directly and is not accepted from the nurse that is wishing the license there.

Even if you send proof to CA BRN, they are going to need to get the verification from the PRC. Do not see why they would make exceptions to their rule. Remember that it takes four months or so to get the approval as they still do their own verification.

I never recommend CA for initial licensure for foreign grads that do not have a SSN#. You are going to be waiting four weeks plus to get your results, and you will have nothing to use to endorse as you will not be issued a license, only given a letter.

If askign for my opinion on it, would suggest waiting until you have everything done; the US is under a retrogression so it will be several years before you even have a chance of getting to the US. It is no longer a guarantee that passing the NCLEX-RN exam will get you the green card, there are just too many from your country that wish to work in the US as well.

You will be much further ahead in getting a couple of years experience in another country first.

Best of luck on what ever you decide to do.
